Mike has over 20 years in radio sales, marketing and management.  He came to Cumulus from a small radio group as a DOS in Reno Nevada.  He gained his experience in broadcasting mostly in northern Michigan, in both radio and broadcast television.  Mike also owned and ran several businesses including a jingle company and recording studio.  These experiences make Mike an asset to his stations and clients by having insight into other broadcast media, knowing the challenges facing today’s business owners and managers, and how to best help them handle these obstacles.  He now calls Kalamazoo, Michigan home, and looks forward to tackling new challenges that will help Cumulus Kalamazoo grow and move forward in the future.

Richard joined the Cumulus family in October 2001 as a Sales Assistant. After about a year of printing sales reports, assembling media kits, and developing marketing plans for other salese representatives, he made the giant leap to radio sales in January 2003 and hasn't looked back! Richard was recently moved to Key Account Manager in September to work closely with key regional and local businesses. He loves building long-lasting relationships and working with businesses to create effective marketing strategies for growth and community awareness.  

Debbi Young has done everything in SW Michigan from owning her own family business to selling marketing and ideas to local businesses.  She has excelled over the past two years helping local businesses here in the Kalamazoo markets and has watched many of her clients grow due to her knowledge and persistence.  Deb has a background in marketing and home improvement, and is very active in her community.  She is very active in her family life, but always seems to make time for her clients.  Deb is an asset to our family here at Cumulus Kalamazoo and always tells it like it is. 

Mark has over 15 years experience in radio advertising and many additional years as a radio broadcaster.  He is a strong developer of successful ideas and campaigns that have proven to be beneficial for clients in many fields of business. The Michigan Association of Broadcaster have recognized Mark on several occasions for his work. Mark is a twenty-year resident of Kalamazoo and is active in local politics as well as community service. Mark can also be heard at many area sporting events as he is the stadium announcer for the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team, the Kalamazoo Kings baseball team as well as area high schools.

Joann began her advertising career as a Media Buyer/Director-VP for Los Angeles and Chicago advertising agencies. She brings a broad based media background of over 20 years to Cumulus and finds her strategy of "thinking like the client" to work to her advantage in sales. Along with a strong work ethic, and commitment to success, Joann is insightful and tactical with the ability to build strong and lasting business relationships. She strives to be an essential asset to Cumulus Broadcasting.

James Rawlings has lived in the Kalmazoo/Portage area for his entire life and grew up listening to WKFR. James learned the value of excellent customer service while working at the Michigan News Agency in downtown Kalamazoo. Finding solutions to customer concerns and aiding in the successful growth of local small businesses is what he enjoys best. James began in advertising a decade ago at the Kalamazoo Gazette and continued his marketing career in print media at the Greater Guide of Southwest Michigan.  Now he brings his talents and strong local business ties to radio. 

Dan Cook is not originally a Kalamazoo local.  He moved here about six years ago from Flushing, Michigan to attend Western Michigan University where he earned his bachelors degree in Sales and Business Marketing. After graduating he took advantage of a great internship opportunity with Thomson Reuters in Ann Arbor, but he couldn’t stay away from Kalamazoo for too long.  He loves working with customers, and finding creative solutions to their needs and concerns.  His enthusiasm and drive, coupled with his excellent people skills makes him a great addition to the Cumulus Team.

Terri Geise has lived in the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek area for over 18 years. She comes to us with almost 20 years advertising experience.  She prides herself on listening to and doing what is right for the advertiser.  Terri has a strong work ethic and has a strong passion to see the people of her community grow, and be successful.  In her clients being successful, she is successful.  Terri looks forward to meeting and working with you and for you.

Karen Rose joins the Cumulus sales team with over 20 years of sales experience.  She graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Business, Marketing and Advertising.  Karen has sold telecommunications systems, carbide cutting tools and home improvement solutions. Her and her husband Randy’s careers have given them the opportunity to move to Central, Eastern and West Michigan and also to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Karen grew up in Southwest Michigan and has always called it home. Getting to know the customer and their business is her priority and why she has always succeeded in sales. Karen uses her enthusiasm, extensive sales background, management skills and business experiences to understand her customers, identify opportunities and provide business solutions. 

Dick has 34 years in radio as an on-air disc jockey, radio sales and sales management. Dick comes to Cumulus from Indiana where he worked for several small radio properties in South Bend and Fort Wayne. Dick is a people person and loves working with his clients & their businesses to help them grow and become more successful. Dick's other “passion” is coaching basketball. This is Dick’s 26 season coaching (15 years coaching boys – 11 coaching girls). Currently the Head Girls Varsity Coach at Lawrence High School (Lawrence, MI).
